FRED “REALNESS”

Fred Realness is the founder of the “Realness” which started in 2006. His aim is to teach the Original styles of Popping and Locking, which he has studied from Sugapop and Popin Pete from the Electric Boogaloos.

In addition Fred has been studying Locking under the guidance of Greg Campbellock jr, who is a member of the world famous Locking Group ‘The Lockers’ and also Sugapop from the Electric Boogaloos.

Fred has taught Popping and Locking to various dance companies In the UK including Robert Hyltons Urban Classicism,East London dance & Hype dance (sheffield) to name but a few. He has also worked as a freelance artist teaching for Jonzi D productions in schools and University’s, and on festivals such as ‘Move it’ at  the Kensington Olympia exhibition centre, ‘Sampled’ at Sadlers Wells and Peace Tree “walk free and respect life” which was a anti gun, knife and gang event at the Damiloa Taylor Centre in Peckham south London.

From 2007, Fred has been teaching safe dance practice and Injury prevention for Breakin Convention at Sadlers Wells, as part of their Pioneers intensive teacher training courses. These courses were held in various cities around the UK and were lead by legendary dance pioneers such as Poppin Pete, Sugapop and Mr Wiggles from the Electric Boogaloos, as well as  Tony Go Go from the Lockers and Ken Swift from VII Gems.

Fred has also been invited abroad and taught alongside Greg Campbellock jr in  Genoa (Italy) Sienna (Italy) twice in Moscow (Russia) St Petersburg (Russia) Eisenburg (Germany) Helsinki (Finland) and 2009-present Thun (Switzerland) he is very keen to continue working abroad spreading his knowledge of Popping and Locking.

Fred is currently a guest lecturer at The University of East London.

Rowdy “REALNESS”

Rowdy, the UK’s leading female funk style dancer has achieved worldwide recognition for her work. With over 15 years experience Her CV to date includes showcases, performances, battles; video shoots, workshops, TV work and teaching. Having several years experience teaching all age groups and levels, she holds the YMCA Kids fitness Street Dance Certificate.

She is trained as a Realness Family “Master Student”, in the original funk styles by pioneers; The Lockers, The Electric Boogaloos and later by the UK’s Fred Realness.

She is the UK’s Locking champion for 2010 and has been involved in many projects such as; Nike Athletes, Throwdown, Breaking Convention, WeBgirlz, B Supreme and the UK B-boy Championships. When not working in the UK, Rowdy often teaches and performs internationally.

Being Co-founder/founder of 2 other all female groups; Flowzaic and Funkamental, her love, dedication and passion for funk styles across the UK’s hip hop community earns her place as one of the UK’s finest dancers and a positive role model for young women.

MR BEN “REALNESS”

With outstanding flair and dedication Mr.Ben has immersed himself in Locking, historically, culturally and technically, making him formidable in this dance form.  He has trained extensively with legendary dancers such as Suga Pop, Greg Campbellock Jr. and Tony GoGo, and teaches for the Realness family.

Having taught within a broad variety of environments, both nationally and internationally, Mr.Ben has experience of tutoring beginners through to professional dancers and companies.

His choreography and performances include work for B Supreme, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Roundhouse and Stratford Circus as well as breakin’ convention, Sadlers Wells.

Mr.Ben performed in the incredible tribute to Greg Campbellock Jr. at breakin’ convention 2010, choreographed by Suga Pop and also featuring Tony GoGo, Popin Pete, FloMaster, LockAdelic, Hilti & Bosch and The Realness Family.

Justu “Realness

Justu is one of the top competitors in the UK and currently  UK popping champion of 2010. Though his dedication and discipline Jutsu has earned his place as a teacher working along side Rowdy and Mr Ben and his mentor Fred realness. Teaching beginner classes at the London Central YMCA.

Justu has studied popping extensively from Fred Realness and also the Legendary Suga pop and Popin Pete from Electric Boogaloos.He has a passion to inspire those around him and also teaches children and young adults on various projects across the U.K   spreading positive messages and mentoring though dance.

In 2010 Justu performed in the incredible tribute to Greg Campbellock Jr at Sadlers Wells as part of The Breakin Convention weekend featuring dance legends such as Suga Pop ,Tony GoGo, Popin Pete, FloMaster, LockAdelic, Hilti & Bosch and The Realness Family.
